April Vacation Horse Camp
9am-12pm Monday-Thursday April 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th
Students will ride for 30 minutes per day. In case of heavy rain, riding time may be substituted by hands-on horse activities inside the barn. Please dress for the weather as April weather can be unpredictable. Students are not required to have any experience. Students will be doing educational projects, doing horse care, horsemanship and crafts. It will cover grooming, leading, mounting a horse, steering, stopping and riding at the walk and trot. On Thursday students will participate in a “game day” on horseback. Students must wear long pants and boots with a heel. They may bring a helmet with them if they have one. Loaner helmets will be available for students that do not have their own. Students will not be allowed to ride in sneakers. Students are to bring a water bottle and a snack that does not contain nuts.
